Social Secrets 3.0 is a system that teaches you how to do social advertising the new & right way. In video one, Matt Clark and Justin Aquilla have outlined the importance of creating the right images in order to enjoy a successful Facebook campaign. They also offered Banner Machine, a piece of software they have custom-built just for you. In the second video, Ezra outlines the importance of promoting your Facebook campaign the right way.

How to Begin

Once you have gotten someone’s attention with an image or an ad, the next thing you need to figure out is who you are targeting with your images. A lot of people claim to have failed at Facebook advertising. However, the truth is that they have not failed, but they were simply unable to put their message in front of the right people. Figuring out who to put your message in front of and how to test these audiences is the key to your Facebook success.

How to Pick your Audience

The secret of the entire business, also called the “Million dollar campaign” is in finding the right audience. First off, you need a testing queue. This includes a bunch of variables such as images, target groups and audiences. Those variables that come out positive should be scaled.

What’s really important about audience testing is that it is the lifeblood of your business, that’s why it is paramount to do it the right way. You should use 20% of your budget to test your audience and pick the right one for you. Next, take the ones that perform and scale them out using 80% of your budget.

Another important aspect of the testing queue is choosing the right audience that correlates with your queue. Here are some tips on how to do that.

Premade Audiences

Social Secrets is a modern tool that helps you choose the right audience for your needs. In this tool, you can find a wide variety of features that will ease the process. For instance, the audience generalization worksheet will help a lot when it comes to building your audience, giving you a good kick-off point. Many people have used this tool to build their audiences and enjoy success.

An audience breaks down into two things: who are the people you are trying to reach and what do they like? The WHO helps you break down the demographic targeting in your ad campaign, while the WHAT allows you to set interest groups.

Some of the questions you should ask include:

  • Who is your customer?
  • What age range do they fall in?
  • How much do they earn?
  • Do they have kids?
  • Are they in a relationship?
  • What is their location?

When you answer to all of these questions, you can build your own demographic in order to create the best ads for your customers.

Some other questions that relate to the WHAT aspect include:

  • What news do they consume?
  • What TV shows do they watch?
  • What websites do they visit?
  • Which products do they purchase?
  • What foods do they eat?
  • What stores do they prefer?
  • What activities do they participate at?

After responding to each of these questions, you should consult the pre-made audience groups embedded in the Social Secrets tool. For instance, if you choose to target the electronics & mobile niche, you have the following responses the above questions:

Who?

  1. Age: 22 or greater
  2. Sex: male or female

What?

  1. Group 1: cell phone accessories: LifeProof, OtterBox, incase, Griffin Techologies
  2. Group 2: portable audio players: Bose SoundDock, iHome, wireless speakers
  3. Group 3: mobile devices: Samsung Galaxy S4, Note

Another example comes from the Health & Beauty niche.

Who?

  1. Age: 33-55
  2. Sex: female

What?

  1. Group 1: Types of beauty skin products: toner, cleanser, moisturizer, and exfoliating cream
  2. Group 2: Spa related products: facial, dry spa, bikini waxing, laser hair removal, and the list goes on.
  3. Group 3: Dieting programs: slim fast, medifast, dukandiet, abs diet etc.

These are literally copy-paste audiences. You can copy-paste these interests and use them according to your own strategy. You can use the pre-build audiences in order to make sure you have picked the right audience and you advertise the right way.

In the next video, the creators of Social Secrets walk you through a whole marketing campaign, teaching you how to sell products using Facebook ads and using the right audience. Stay tuned for more great videos from Matt Clark and Justin Aquilla!
