  • Ask a compelling question.

2. Reveal the Problem

Now that you’ve grabbed the attention of your prospective customer, it is time to reveal the true nature of their problem. People need to be aware that not all the things in their lives are perfect. They need to realize there is something going wrong. Only after they have realized that, will they come to you looking for a solution.

3. Offer your Solution

Now that you’ve made your prospects aware of the problem, it is time to offer your solution. However, don’t talk about your product before talking about how it can solve their problems. That’s the key for success.

4. Establish Credibility

Have you ever wondered why so many products sold through commercials use celebrities that have no connection whatsoever with that product? For instance, is Michael Jordan experienced in underwear? I doubt that. Is Arnold Schwarzenegger a world-renowned motorist or race driver? I doubt that too. The secret so many brands use is gaining credibility by using a credible public figure. You can gain the same credibility without spending millions of dollars hiring Jordan or Schwarzenegger. Here is how:

  • Talk about how many people have bought from you.
  • Tell a specific story of an important person who has bought from you.
  • Talk about your journey to create this product.
  • Tell your prospects about some of the places (TV shows, newspapers, magazines) where your product has been featured.

5. List the benefits

Now that you have established yourself as an authority in this industry, it is time to list out the main benefits of your product. You should be able to list around 10-15 benefits.

6. Features

Once you’ve listed the benefits, it is time to talk about the features of your product. Now that you’ve connected with your prospects on an emotional level, it is time to justify their purchase logically. Most people buy products due to emotional reasons, but they justify their purchase using logic. Use this to your advantage.

7. Guarantee

After you have spelled out your product benefits and features, it is time for the most important part – the sales pitch. This is your guarantee. A strong guarantee removes every bit of risk for your prospects. They will feel confident to buy from you once you offer a strong guarantee. With a guarantee, you remove all your prospects’ fears and prepare them for the next step – scarcity.

8. Scarcity

Have you ever wondered why millions of people rush to buy the latest iPhone or Kindle when they come out? All these people have one thing in common – they want to be cool. However, not all people manage to get an iPhone or Kindle because of a limited supply. This limited supply is scarcity. You need to leverage this principle in order to convert your prospects now. You need to make your prospects realize that they can win a lot by buying now.

Ways to add scarcity include:

  • Shipping delay because of limited supply.
  • Price going up soon.
  • Product will no longer be available in a few weeks.

9. Reminder

Once you have finished explaining to them about scarcity, it is time to remind your prospects briefly about everything you have presented so far.

10. Call to action

Lastly, you need a strong call to action make your prospects buy your products. They trust you know, so they should listen to you. Congratulations. You have now managed to convert an important prospect and get your business rolling. Best of all, you are just getting started.
